"The Rock Show" Extras
The character of "Uncle" Max Goodheart was conceived as "a perverted take on Mister Rogers" - a purveyor of faux-Lolita porn (using 18-and-older actresses to portray characters who, ahem, might appear to be younger), a genre that's very controversial, even within the adult industry.
Fini is seen watching what's supposed to be an "Uncle" Max tape at the beginning of the episode. Because our shows run 10-15 minutes, we knew only a few shots from the video would make it into the final cut. But we wanted to create a more complete opening credits sequence to give our actors a feel for what an "Uncle" Max video might be like. The result is both comical and creepy.
Some of the "performers" listed in the "credits" of the Max video include characters seen in other episodes and various noms de plume of Bryn Pryor, Rebecca Gray, Paul Fishbein, and others. Max's "girl" is played by Lisette Bross, returning as "Vanessa Page" from episode 06, "The Prick Show."
You might also notice that, when first introduced, Max's last name is spelled "Goodhart." Adult production companies and even the actors themselves routinely misspell their names on model releases and in credits. We'd like to tell you this was a clever in-joke on our part, but the truth is, we just blew it.
